Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has formed a committee to look into the issue of power supply to various housing colonies and all Deputy Managers (Operation) have been asked to furnish their report in this regard.
This was decided in a joint meeting of Fesco and district government officials here Friday. District Co-ordination Officer (DCO), Nasim Sadiq urged Fesco officials to help remove extra poles and tangled wire to enable smooth flow of traffic on the roads.
He said that scores of owners and sponsors of various housing colonies sold plots to the people without providing basic facilities like gas and electricity and made off with their amount. He further said that scores of housing colonies in the rural and urban areas are without electricity and require joint efforts to resolve the long awaited issue of inhabitants of such areas. He directed Fesco officials to devise a strategy for residents of such housing colonies having live wires on their rooftops.
