One-day workshop on Youth Entrepren-eurship was held at Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (HCCI) in collaboration with Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) Hyderabad and HCCI, Hyderabad.
Deputy Secretary Youth Affairs Department Government of Sindh, Saleem Siddiqui said that youths are our asset and constitute 54 percent of population. This asset needs to be polished through development of entrepreneur skills so that 'they can be their own boss rather than depending on the economy for jobs'.
Expressing his views, Ikhtiar Ahmed Khoso, Regional Business Co-ordinator Smeda, Hyderabad said that Smeda, in collaboration with Youth Affairs Department is providing technical and consultancy services to SMEs through BDS services. He further said that Smeda is providing services of business plan development, B2B match making, access to finance, accounting and legal services to SMEs of Hyderabad.
Ziauddin, Vice President HCCI in his closing remarks said that HCCI appreciates the initiative of Youth Affairs Department and Smeda for SMEs. He said that HCCI is promoting the business community of the city regarding, holding seminars, exhibitions and sending delegations to other countries for business promotion. He said they are with young entrepreneurs whenever their services are required.
