Shutter down strike observed in Kalat

Traders observed shutter down strike, on the call of Anjuman Tajran Kalat, to protest against continuous incidents of theft in the city particularly in commercial areas. According to a statement issued on Thursday, addressing the protesters, President Anjuman Tajran Kalat Munir Ahmed Shahwani regretted that thieves had broken locks of several shops and looted goods worth millions of rupees.
President lamented that no stern action was being taken to halt thefts, which had created a lot of problem for common citizens.
