BRIndex30 loses 204.16 points

On Wednesday, the BRIndex30 opened at 8,637.97 points and remained in red for almost whole of the trading session, recording positive readings only in the first few opening minutes. It touched the intra-day high of 8,675.80 points and low of 8,393.17 points, and closed at 8,433.81 points with a net negative change of -204.16 points, or -2.36 percent lower than previous close.
The volume was 62,983,876 shares, which was 70.7 percent of KSE All share volume and 98.71 percent of KSE-100 volume. The KSE All Share volume was 89,086,732 shares and KSE-100 volume was 63,804,862 shares. BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 2,504.75 with a net negative change of -49.94 points or percentage change of -1.95 and turnover of 13,297,421 shares.
BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,520.43 with a net negative change of -55.71 points or percentage change of -2.16 and turnover of 6,403,263 shares. BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 406.32 with a net negative change of -2.01 points or percentage change of -0.49 and turnover of 5,941,587 shares. BR Cement Index closed at 592.77 with a net negative change of -23.56 points or percentage change of -3.82 and turnover of 5,130,391 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,686.18 with a net negative change of -34.99 points or percentage change of -2.03 and turnover of 4,620,250 shares.
