Sluggish business was seen on the wholesale grain and seed market on Tuesday as poor law and order situation in the city forced the buyers to keep away from the normal business, dealers said. On the cereal side, wheat old Bardan and new both types both maintained rising trend picking up Rs 10 to Rs 2390-2405, dealers said.
On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh, shed the overnight gains, low type was down by Rs 75 to Rs 3400 and best type was lower by Rs 150 to Rs 3450, other varieties held the weekend levels during the day, they said. Only one change was seen on the seed side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh, low type rose by Rs 40 to Rs 1340 and good type also followed the same pattern, rising by Rs 10 to Rs 1380, they said. Prices were stable on the grams sector, they added.
