Armed robbers killed the principal of a private school when he tried to offer resistance during a robbery in Sara Bibi Goth within the limits of Surjani police station. According to the details, three alleged bandits, who barged into the house of 35-year-old Ejaz son of Ashraf on Saturday and held his wife hostage at gunpoint, started looting valuables.
Reacting on the said act, the victim Ejaz offered resistance and was shot by one of the bandits. Resultantly, he received two bullets and died on the spot. After committing the crime, the bandits managed to flee from the scene. Police said the deceased, who was the resident of Sara Bibi Goth Surjani area, used to run a private school in Bhattaiabad.
Police were of the view that personal enmity was motive behind his killing as the alleged bandits did not rob anything from his home. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities and later handed over to his family. Police registered an FIR 228/11 against unidentified men on the complaint of victim's wife and initiated probe.
