Insight of how Aaqib Javed saved Raza Hasan's career

Pakistan left arm spinner Raza Hasan was one of the brightest young talents who lost to addiction. The fall from grace of a bright prospect for the Green shirts was one of the saddest stories of 2015.
However, the youngster is ready to change his fate and is currently under rehabilitation, all thanks to Lahore Qalandars coach Aaqib Javed. In 2017, Hasan was picked up by Javed but in a ‘terrible state’ at National Cricket Academy's main entrance.
"I called him over and asked, 'What have you done with yourself?' He had a lot of complaints about his life, whining about so many things. I picked him up and took him to our Lahore Qalander academy in Lahore,” stated Javed, quoted ESPNcricinfo.
However, it was not at all an easy going for Hasan, as it is the case in any kind of rehabilitation. But Hasan’s passion for cricket and Javed's commitment was bearing fruit and the youngster was picked up by Lahore Qalandars for the upcoming third season of the Pakistan Super League.
"It was tough to convince him that he needs to focus and that his old company won't help him… It took some time for him to realise," Javed said.
