The Karachi Port handled 56,726 tonnes of cargo including 33,814 tonnes of import cargo, 22,912 tonnes of export cargo and 2,885 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 33,814 tonnes comprised of 17,986 tonnes of containerised cargo; 461 tonnes of general cargo; 2,067 tonnes of sulphur and 13,300 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 22,912 tonnes comprised of 18,611 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,663 tonnes of general cargo; 1,638 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,593 tonnes of cement and 45 tonnes of wheat. Eight ships namely Hyundai Freedom, Haj Khalil, Sea Tiger-1, Unicorn Dolphin, Rosy Falcon, Ozay-5, Rio Grande and Resolve with container ship, rock phosphate, cement, general cargo, bulk cargo, oil tanker, container ship and vehicles carrier sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz Abdul Aziz Arab, Al-Shuwaikh, Island Express, Resolve, Yossa Bhum and Invicta carrying general cargo, live stock, bulk cargo, vehicles carrier, container ship and bulk cargo respectively are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Yossa Bhum, Al-Shuwaikh and Abdul Aziz Arab with container ship, live stock and general cargo respectively expected to sail on Friday, while two ships namely Island Express and Positano carrying bulk cargo and container ship respectively are expected to sail on Saturday.
Eight vessels viz Ital Oceano, CSL Ride, APL Sokhna, YM Asia, Banjo Bridge, Nord Optimiser, MT Lahore and Royal Jasper with five container ships, naphtha, crude oil and jet oil respectively due to arrive on Friday, while five vessels viz Risanger, Ocean Host, Cape Manuel, King Feast and Free Lady with jet oil, coal, container ship, general cargo and steel respectively are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 32,273 tonnes of cargo includes 19,777 tonnes of import cargo, 12,496 tonnes of export cargo and 1,126 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 19,777 tonnes includes 600 tonnes of crude oil; 9,907 tonnes of chemicals and 9,270 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 12,496 tonnes includes 4,861 tonnes of wheat; 1,539 tonnes of cement and 6,096 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Container ship namely CV CMA CGM Eiffel sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while another ship namely MT Gem of Dahej carrying chemicals is expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of five vessels viz CV CMA CGM Eiffel, MV Majestic, MV Rana, MV Golden Ambrosia and MT Gem of Dahej are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.
Six ships namely Analipsi Lady, Al-Salam-II, MSC Magali, Glory, Tycoon-II and Norgas Alameda carrying diesel oil, containers, wheat and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of six vessels viz CV Glory, CV MSC Magali, CV CSAV Pyranees, MV Tycoon-II, MT Al-Salam-II and MT Norgas Alameda scheduled to load/offload containers, wheat, diesel oil and chemicals respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal (MW-3), FOTCO Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Friday, while another vessel viz MV Pearl of Jabel Ali carrying canola seeds is due to arrive on the same day. Five container vessels viz CV Asir, CV CMA CGM Mozart, CV CMA CGM Wanger, CV Delta and CV ACX Hibiscus are expected to arrive at Port Qasim.
