India's FX reserves down

India's foreign exchange reserves fell to $307.917 billion as of April 15 from $308.203 billion in the previous week, the central bank said in its weekly statistical supplement on Friday. Changes in foreign currency assets, expressed in dollar terms, include the effect of appreciation or depreciation of other currencies held in its reserves like the euro, sterling and yen, the central bank said.
Foreign exchange reserves include India's Reserve Tranche position in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the central bank said. Meanwhile, India's central bank sold bonds worth 130 million rupees in the week ended April 15, it said in its weekly statistical supplement on Friday. The central bank had bought bonds worth 100 million rupees in the week ended April 15, it said. It had bought 170 million rupees worth of bonds in the week ended April 8, but did not sell any, the supplement showed.
