Bata Pakistan Limited has posted Rs 160.543 million as profit after tax in the quarter ended March 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 146.316 million earned in the corresponding period in 2010. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Thursday declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 21.24 in the period under review against Rs 19.35 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's net sales increased to Rs 2.045 billion in this quarter against Rs 1.652 billion in the same period a year back while the cost of sales increased to Rs 1,269.647 million against Rs 977.412 million. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 227.168 million in this quarter against Rs 200.265 million in the same quarter last year.
