Punjab transfers revenue powers to provincial government

Following the abolishment of executive district officer-revenue (EDO-R), district officer-revenue (DO-R) and deputy district officer (DDO) posts, the Punjab government has carried out major reshuffle of government officials here on Wednesday. The Punjab government has transferred the revenue powers from district governments to the provincial government and hence revving the post of additional commissioner, additional collector, assistant commissioner and collector.
According to the notification issued by Punjab Services Department, Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghuman, DOR Lahore, has been made Officer on Special Duty, while all posts of DDORs have been converted into Assistant Commissioners.
