Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif departed from Islamabad Airport on Sunday for China along with 20-member delegation. According to handout issued by DGPR here, Ambassador of China in Pakistan Jiang Luo met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Islamabad Airport and saw him off.
While talking to the Chief Minister, the Chinese Ambassador said that the people and government of China have always warmly welcomed you.
He said that being the Chief Minister of the largest province of the country and due to the steps taken for the welfare of the people and development of Punjab, the people and government of China anxiously await your visit.
He expressed the hope that the Chief Minister's visit to China will be successful and as a result of his visit, the existing friendship and co-operation will be further strengthening between the two countries.
While talking to the Chinese Ambassador, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that China is an old and trust-worthy friend of Pakistan which has helped Pakistan in every hour of trial.
He said that dialogues would be held during his visit to China for co-operation in various sectors including transport, roads and hydro power.
He said that vast opportunities are available for co-operation in various sectors and mega projects in Pakistan particularly in Punjab.
The 20-member delegation includes Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed, parliamentarians, senators, investors and industrialists.
