Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Professor Dr Tariq Sallahudin has lauded the services of Dr Abdul Basit in the field of health department. While addressing a farewell party hosted at Lahore General Hospital here, on Saturday, to honour Dr Basit on his retirement as Director Administration of LGH the Principal PGMI said that Dr Basit had rendered appreciable 34 years services in heath department.
He praised the extraordinary struggle for upgradation of LGH. "Dr Basit professional life is a role model for young doctors" he added. MS. Dr Zafar Ikram, Professor Imran Akram Sahaf, Dr Mumtaz Ahmed and others in their speeches, shared with the audience their personal experiences and pleasant memories of long services association with Dr Basit. They observed that Dr Basit has always carried out his professional responsibilities in a dutiful manner.
Paying him rich tributes on his longstanding services they said that Dr Basit is not only a renowned physician and researcher but also a fine human being as well. Dr Basit in his speech thanked the Principal PGMI and other staff for organising such a memorable farewell function in his honour. At the end Principal PGMI presented the shield to Dr Basit on his remarkable service.
