CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures fell on Monday for a sixth straight session, posting contract lows across the board on technical selling and plentiful global wheat supplies, especially after big harvests in Russia and Canada, traders said.
CBOT March wheat settled down 5-1/2 cents at $4.13-1/2 per bushel after dipping to $4.10-3/4, the lowest price for a most-active contract since Jan. 4.
K.C. March hard red winter wheat ended down 5-1/4 cents at $4.12-3/4 a bushel; all K.C. wheat months set contract lows.
MGEX March spring wheat fell 2-1/2 cents to settle at $6.08-3/4 a bushel.
Traders await the US Department of Agriculture's monthly supply/demand report on Tuesday.
The USDA reported export inspections of US wheat in the latest week at 316,867 tonnes, toward the low end of a range of trade expectations for 300,000 to 500,000 tonnes.
The CME Group reported 285 deliveries against CBOT December soft red winter wheat futures and no K.C. hard red winter wheat deliveries. There were no MGEX December spring wheat deliveries.
