People living in most villages in the coastal areas of Keamari Town have complained that the government does not supply natural gas to their areas and they have no option but to burn wood for cooking.
Residents of Mubarak Village said that their village was still being ignored despite that fact that nearby villages in Deh Lal Bakhar had been provided gas two years ago.
"We have to go to nearby forests to cut tress to collect wood which we use for cooking purposes," said Lal Bano, a girl living in Mubarak Village.
Many villagers complained that no action had so far been taken by the government to improve the socio-economic condition of their village.
They urged the Sindh government as well as the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited to take measure to provide natural gas to the village.
Mubarak Village, a scenic locality, situated at the Sindh-Balochistan coastal belt, are being deprived of basic facilities. There is no proper electricity, no government-laid water lines and earlier built health facility is out of order due to non-availability of staff and medicines, local people said.
They complained that the government has not taken any concrete step towards developing their village into a model village despite making a pledge to do so.
