Opposition mulling giving tough time to President: joint session of Parliament on March 22

Opposition parties are preparing strategy to register strong protest by staging walkout from the forthcoming joint session of the Parliament on March 22 over drone attacks and Raymond Davis issues, it is learnt.
According to reliable sources, the opposition parties particularly PML-N, PML-Q and JUI-F would demonstrate strapping protest over the issues of drones' attacks and releasing of US official Raymond Davis in the joint session and to give tough time to President Asif Ali Zardari during his annual address to the Parliament.
The sources said that the opposition parties would stage walkout from joint session of the Parliament and to come out from the House and to also hold protest before the Parliament on these issues.
PML-Q leader Kamal Ali Agha said while talking to Business Recorder that the party has decided to register strong protest in forthcoming joint session of the parliament over drone attacks and the release of US official Raymond Davis. For this purpose, he said that his party lawmakers would stage walkout form the joint session of the Parliament in protest on these issues. PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said that a meeting of parliamentary party would be held today (Monday) in Islamabad which would take final decision in this regard.
The joint session has been called for annual address of the President to the Parliament on March 22, 2011.
This will be President Zardari's fourth and perhaps the toughest address to Parliament, considering the increase in hostility on the national political scene since he last addressed the legislature on April 5, 2010.
Another challenge emanates from the resistance the government has recently been facing in implementing key economic decisions due to opposition not only by the opposition but also its coalition allies.
Political analysts said that President Zardari would have come up with answers to the 'toughest of questions' from opposition members when he speaks before lawmakers, most of whom might not be ready to listen to him and may resort to noisy protests. Previous three addresses of President Zardari were very smooth as he hardly faced any protest at all.
