Grain futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were lower on Tuesday, with soybean futures leading the losses on expectations of a robust harvest in Brazil, traders said. Corn futures were pressured by a firm dollar and technical selling, with sell-stops seen at $7.07, while wheat floundered on forecasts for rain in the US Plains.
At 9:43 am CST (1543 GMT), CBOT May corn was down 5 cents a bushel at $7.12-1/2, May soybeans were 9-1/2 cents lower $13.85-1/2 and May wheat was 2-3/4 cents lower at $7.98.
