Pak-Afghan border: tripartite commission reviews security situation

The tripartite commission composed of senior military representatives from Afghanistan, Pakistan and the coalition forces in Afghanistan, held its 33rd meeting here on Thursday. The delegations were headed by General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.
Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, General David H. Petreaus, Commander International Security Assistance Force and General Sher Muhammad Karimi, Chief of General Staff of Afghan National Army, said a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations. The participants reviewed the security situation in the areas along Pak-Afghan border and showed satisfaction on the existing level of co-operation. The forum also discussed various measures to further improve the co-ordination, it added.
