The Islamabad High Court Single Bench dismissed the case of contempt against Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd in a petition field by Ghazanfar Ali, Officer of the Bank for not allowing him to join the Bank in spite of the orders of the IHC, says a press release received here on Monday.
The Double Bench while hearing the case accepted the defence pleas of ZTBL that a Division Bench of IHC has already suspended the impugned order and dismissed the contempt case accordingly. EVP (HR) personally appeared in the court and Chaudhry Imtiaz Ahmed, Bank's counsel pleaded the case on Bank's behalf.
In another case of reinstatement order of bank's officer Muhammad Iqbal by the appellant authority, Secretary Finance, GOP, the Bank has challenged his reinstatement in the IHC. The Islamabad High court single Bench heard the case and suspended the impugned order reinstatement of the Bank's officer by the Secretary Finance till the next date of hearing.-PR
