Asian Soccer Cup: 'Palestinian team has full potential to qualify'

Palestinian National Soccer team coach Moussa Bezaz Sunday expressed optimism that Palestinian team has full potential to qualify for the Asian Cup. Talking to reporters here at FIFA Football House, he said: "Since official football in Palestine is only 11 years old, it is natural that there is pressure on us in the coming series against Pakistan.
With next FIFA Ranking to be issued on 9th March, both brotherly nations are near to each other currently, with Palestine below five places to Pakistan's 173."
He said his boys are capable to handle pressure because it gives us energy to compete.
Franco-Algerian strategist Moussa Bezaz, who is coach of Palestinian national team since July 2009, said that Palestine received the inaugural FIFA Development Award in recognition of the achievement and it would be a historic visit to Pakistan. He described Palestinian football potential as immense and as that which can explode if they were able to call all eligible Palestinian footballers from all over the world.
Palestine Head of delegation Mohammed Abu Srour also talked to media and praised the way Pakistani peoples welcomed them at airport.
Bezaz and Srour thanked Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)'s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, also AFC Executive Committee member, and Palestinian Football Association (PFA)'s President Al Rajoub Jibril for the tour of Pakistan and timely and effective series as head of both Associations agreed to give their National teams training in 2011 with bilateral series for the coming AFC Challenge Cup, World Cup and Olympics Qualifiers and SAFF/WAFF Championship. Palestine used to play WAFF Championship, and international tournament for selected West Asian countries and territories.
Bezaz added that his contract will stay until June 30, 2011 and added that his relationship with Jibril Rajoub is tremendous. I am here because of Jibril Rajoub's strength, he is a person who loves sport.
The Palestine team will tour Pakistan for the first time in their history to play two matches against the hosts on 1st March at Lahore and on 4th March at Karachi. Pakistan will make return visit in bilateral home and away test series for two matches in April-May.
