Chairman Kashmir Committee and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on Sunday urged for resolving Kashmir issue according to the United Nations' resolutions. He was talking to reporters after meeting with a delegation of UK parliamentarians led by Lord Nazir Ahmed here at a luncheon by Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid-e-Azam - (PML-Q) President, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
Secretary General PML-Q, Mushahid Hussain was also present on the occasion. Fazl said that nobody could suppress the struggle of Kashmiris for a long time and their voice can not be silenced. He stressed that the talks between Pakistan and India on the issue must be meaningful. He also said that India must follow United Nations resolutions on Kashmir dispute. He demanded withdrawal of military from the Line of Control. JUI-F chief also sought United Kingdom's role in achieving a just resolution of the issue for durable peace in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Shujjat Hussain said that there is a need to take bold step for resolving the Kashmir issue.
Members of the delegation evinced full support in resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN resolutions. Lord Nazir said that they will take up the issue with UK government and persuade it to play its role in resolving it. Another member of UK parliament said that resolving Kashmir issue is very important for peace in the region.
