To mobilise disabled persons and bring them back in to the mainstream of society, government distributed 750 wheelchairs and tricycles in Bajaur Agency. According to Fata Secretariat, with a view to support the physically challenged persons in the conflict affected agency, some 450 wheelchairs and 300 tricycles were distributed amongst male and female disabled persons of Bajaur Agency.
The distribution ceremony was held in the Agency Headquarter Hospital, Khar. Bajaur Agency surgeon himself supervised the activity and distributed items among the deserving people. The scheme would benefit 750 disabled persons of the area. It may be mentioned here that 500 wheelchairs and tricycles have already been distributed in the first phase in the agency.
