Sindh police on Tuesday claimed to have killed two notorious bandits and one other arrested in an encounter at Saachal area. This was informed by DIG South Iqbal Mehmood in a press conference held at Darakshan police station here on Tuesday. He said the joint operation was conducted by Clifton and Chakiwara police at house 52 of Rizwan Housing Society in Saachal area.
He said the bandits opened fire on police personnel when they were sealing off the said house. On retaliation, two infamous robbers namely Imran alias Burmal and Ali alias Boss were killed and Adnan was arrested. He said the police recovered four TT-pistols, one Repeater and three passports from their possession.
DIG South Iqbal Mehmood said these culprits were nominated in around 100 crime cases, including murder, attempt to murder, robberies, etc and added that Kamran, brother of Imran was also killed in an encounter last year. He said these bandits belonged to an infamous underworld group of Lahore 'Nomi Butt group', adding that they were also nominated in the murder of Saud Behari. Moreover, he said that all legal formalities were completed and further investigation in this regard was underway.
