Director General National Training bureau Ministry of Labour and Manpower Razia Zuberi has said that funds for bringing Skill Development Council in to full functioning would be allocated soon as shortage of skilled labour is hitting the economy hard.
She was addressing the Board of Directors of Skill Development Council (SDC) here on Tuesday. She told the participants that government was taking action against those elements who were misusing the Council and illegally involved in imparting technical education in the name of government.
Dr Shujaat Ali Secretary Industries Punjab, Tariq Blouch Director National Training Bureau, Rabia Usman, Director Ministry for Women Development, Hassan Muneer of Workers Federation Pakistan, Azmat Javed, Shoaib Hameed, M.D. Tahir, Mohammad Afzal, Tahir Bashir and LCCI Senior Vice President Sheikh Mohammad Arshad were also present in the meeting. Rehmatullah Javed from SDC said the Council would utilise its all resources to end the shortage of skilled manpower in the country. He said that SDC would evolve a comprehensive strategy to promote the technical education.
