POF chief lauds performance of employees

Chairman POF Board Lieutenant General Shujaat Zamir Dar, HI (M) has extended greetings to the POF employees on the arrival of sacred month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Appreciating the 1-1/2 year performance of the employees, he announced 1/2 month salary as bonus for BS-1 to BS-18 employees, besides assuring that their residential colonies ie Chairman Colony and Sanjwal Colony will be completed in time.
The POF Chairman took the employees into confidence regarding on-going welfare projects, improvement in the administrative matters, achievement of production targets introduction of new technologies and value addition projects. The POF Chairman analysed the performance of each unit of the POF and stressed upon the employees that in order to meet the new challenges of the new age, there is a dire need to create a sense of responsibility so that the defence of Pakistan could be made invincible.
He informed the employees about the new technologies being introduced in the POF with the help of friendly countries. He told the employees that after a very careful study jointly with the Ministry of Defence and GHQ, tender notices regarding BMRE Plan pertaining to upgradation of Artillery, Mortar, Small Arms and Propellant have been issued to national dailies and posted on the POF website also. The important point of BMRE plan is that keeping in view the current financial crunch of the country and scarce resources, major part of its investment will be met by POF by utilizing its own resources through export earning.
The POF employees expressed jubilation over the announcement of bonus and showed their resolve that they would utilise all their energies for achieving the given production targets, under the dynamic leadership, vision and wisdom of worthy Chairman POF Board.- PR
