The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad has the pleasure to announce that under the directives of the custodian of the two holy mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and direct supervision of Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister, Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Campaign for the relief of brotherly people of Pakistan has continued through the Saudi convoys launched to ease suffering of the people in five different regions including Kashmir and tribal areas.
Information secretary of the campaign, Abdullah Albarak said that the campaign for relief of the brotherly people of Pakistan continues under the direct supervision of Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer, distributing winter relief items through the sixth convoy dispatched from Islamabad to the regions hit by flooding. Albarak added that Al-Ghadeer is keen about dispatching Saudi relief assistance to the most effected regions in Pakistan with special care to the northern and remote areas including Chalas area of Gilgit-Baltistan province.
Elaborating, he said the convoy has so far distributed 5,300 pieces of quilts, 250 cartons of dates and 100 cartons of milk in Chalas area, while 4,700 pieces of quilts, 250 cartons of dates and 100 cartons of milk in GB district despite bad weather and heavy snowfall. Al-Ghadeer and Regional In-charge of the campaign, Dr Khalid Bin Muhammad Aluthmani presided over the distribution process as both devoted to ensure reach-out of the items to people in the remote and isolated areas.-PR
