'Businessmen urged to use Kyrgyzstan liberal laws'

Central Asian countries are among the most emerging economies of Asia and a huge potential exist there to be explored, briefed Talat Mahmood in a meeting with Alik Orozov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. Talat called the business community to effectively use the liberal laws at Kyrgyzstan and explore European and Russian markets using Kyrgyzstan land.
Junaid Esmail Makda, Vice President invited the Kyrgyzstan Ambassador to harness benefits from liberal investment policies of Pakistan and utilise vast resources of the country. He identified the key sectors like textile and apparel, energy, agriculture and livestock offering good returns on investment. The Ambassador hi-lighted that Kyrgyzstan is the gateway to Europe / Russian Federation and Pakistan should optimally utilise the opportunity, further reviewing the advantage Pakistan enjoys is of its excellent location and port that can be offered to land-lock countries.
The delegation proposed the idea of forming Pak-Kyrgyzstan business council and to have a formal MoU with KCCI to establish conscious links with members towards setting a viable trade framework between both countries. The Ambassador suggested opening up Consulate in Karachi for facilitating the business community, acknowledging the fact that Karachi is the economic hub of the country. Pakistani businessmen can also make use of free trade zones and the free trade facility Kyrgyzstan has with its neighbouring countries. Nuran Niyazaley, Deputy Head of the Mission, Kyrgyzstan, Nasir Schon, Asif Nisar, Chairman Diplomatic Affairs sub-committee and Managing Committee members were also present in the meeting.-PR
