Pakistan-India series much more than just sports: Dhoni

Former Indian skipper and wicket-keeper batsman Mahinder Singh Dhoni, has stated that the cricket series between Pakistan and India ‘is much more than just sport.’

“An India-Pakistan cricket series is much more than just sport. It’s not a simple decision. It’s a diplomatic as well as political decision. It’s best left to the government to take a call,” said MS Dhoni who was the chief guest at the final of an Indian Army sponsored cricket tournament at Kunzer in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).

Earlier, the Indian icon was greeted with Shahid Afridi slogans, during his visit to IoK.

The former Indian skipper is currently enjoying the break after playing the limited overs series against Australia and New Zealand. Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team is busy playing Test series against Sri Lanka.
