Pakistan star all-rounder Shahid Khan may have bid adieu to international cricket but that has doesn’t dwindle his massive fan following, even among the most unchartered territories in the world.
One such incident occurred when the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni was welcomed with slogans of Shahid Afridi during his visit to Kunzer, IoK (Indian occupied Kashmir).
Dhoni was in IoK as a chief guest for the final of Chinar Cricket Premier League in the Baramulla district. The Indian army sponsored the cricket tournament.
The local youth, who were present as spectators, raised high pitched slogans in the name of Pakistani heartthrob Afridi, who remains quite popular in the valley.
“Boom boom Afridi,” reverberated passionately, as MS Dhoni considered one of the biggest Indian sporting icons made his way into the crowd.
