Honest leadership to face challenges: Shah Mahmood Qureshi

MULTAN: Former foreign minister Mukhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Sunday that the country is facing numerous challenges like unemployment, power crisis, terrorism, lack of education and health care problems and only honest leadership could resolve them.

Addressing here at the residence of former provincial minister Pir Moinuddin Raiz Qureshi, Shah Mehmood said that he was participating for the last 28 years in country's politics. "My and my family's political career is transparent", he added.

He posed questions as to who would resolve these challenges and answered that only honest leadership could restore the confidence of the people. He said honest leadership is vital to attract investors and investment in the country which would lead to progress and prosperity.

Shah mehmood said the nation will have to search for leaders from ranks of common men, as the leaders come from gross root level.

He expressed concern on governance and said he has observed internal affairs of governance and found that apparently every thing looks all right but factually the things are just not up to the mark and the general public is not satisfied.
