HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks opened 0.73 percent lower Thursday amid doubts that a key European Union summit will produce a breakthrough over the eurozone debt crisis.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index was down 140.39 points to 19,100.19 in early trading.
