HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks rose 2.27 percent in early trade Monday after a report that the International Monetary Fund could bail out debt-hit Italy with up to 600 billion euros ($800 billion).
The benchmark Hang Seng Index climbed 401.59 points to 18,091.07.
