Canadian High Commissioner calls on Sindh CM

qaim_shah2_400KARACHI: Canadian High Commissioner, Ross Hynes called on Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah at CM House here on Tuesday.

The Sindh Chief Minister welcomed the newly appointed Canadian HC and apprised him of various aspects with regard to socio-economic conditions, cultural heritage, literary and healthy privileges of Sindh province.

He said that there are huge resources and natural wealth in various ares of Sindh.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that there are many opportunities of investment and besides, other countries, recently the China has come forward for investment in Pakistan, particularly in Sindh province.

The Chief Minister informed the Canadian HC that China has entered into two agreements by signing MoUs, particularly for wind power generation.

Shah also informed that there are big pockets of wind power generation.

He also presented details of Thar Coal and Energy generation projects, and agriculture sector products.

The High Commissioner of Canada expressed gratitude for warm welcome and said the law and order has been improving and this may result in improved activities.

Counsellor Public Affairs, Andrew, Honorary Consul General of Canada in Karachi, Byram D. Avari and Principal Secretary to Sindh CM, Alamuddin Bullo were also present on the occasion.

Sindh Chief Minister also presented traditional gifts of Sindhi cap and Ajaraks to the High Commissioner of Canada and other members of Canadian delegation.
