PESHAWAR: The Political authorities of Mohmand Agency distributed free agricultural inputs including wheat seeds and fertilizer among one thousand affected growers of Tehsil Pindialai and Tehsil Ambar for Rabbi Season to improve the socio economic condition of the poor farmer community.
It is expected that this intervention would increase per acre wheat production in these areas. The distribution ceremony among the farmers was held in APA office Ekka Ghund where Assistant Political Agent Rasool Khan Wazir was the chief guest on the occasion while Political Tehsildar Ekka Ghund Shamsul Islam, Political Tehsildar Pindialai Hazrat Khan, Political Tehsildar Prang Ghar Gohar Ali, Political Tehsildar Ambar Shakir Ullah and a large number of farmers also attended the ceremony.
APA Rasool Khan Wazir distributed 1000 bags each of 50 Kg DAP fertilizer and 1000 bags of certified wheat seeds among one thousand farmers, which would help boost the production for the current season.
Speaking at the occasion APA Rasool Khan Wazir has said that the government was committed to provide quality seeds and fertilizers to the growers to rehabilitate the agriculture sector in the area.
He said that this scheme was initiated to increase per acre wheat production and rehabilitate the socio economic condition of the affected farmers.
He asked upon the growers to utilize the inputs properly and help the government's efforts in enhancing the crop productivity.
Agriculture experts on the occasion also briefed the farmers about the importance of quality seeds, fertilizers and modern technology. The farmers appreciated the government efforts by timely providing agriculture inputs to the growers.
