CROs to facilitate corporate sector
KARACHI: The company registration offices (CROs) of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) will extend facilitation in collection of annual returns and accounts to facilitate filing of annual statutory returns and accounts.
According to SECP here Friday, the last date of filing Form 29 for most of the companies is 14th Nov., 2011. Companies are also required to file annual returns on Forms A/B within 45 days, in case of listed companies and 30 days in case of other companies, of holding of annual general meetings (AGMs).
Annual audited accounts are also required to be filed within 30 days of holding of AGMs.
CROs will also remain open on Saturday, 12th November, 2011 during working hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and till late hours, i.e., 8:00 p.m., on working days of 14th, 29th and 30th November, 2011, to facilitate the corporate sector. Special facilitation desks have been established at the CROs with designated staff to facilitate companies in submission of annual returns and accounts.
SECP has provided the facility for collection of returns and accounts, at the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, in the cities of Sialkot, Hyderabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Sheikhupura and its representatives will be present at these Chambers on due dates of filing of Form 29 and Forms A/B, for collection of annual returns and accounts.
These initiatives have been undertaken by the SECP to extend facilitation to companies in timely filing of returns and to accelerate the rate of corporate compliance in the country.
