NEW DELHI: India's industrial output grew by a weaker-than-expected 1.9 percent in September from a year earlier, data showed Friday, adding to a string of weak data for Asia's third-biggest economy.
The 1.9-percent increase was significantly below the revised 3.5 percent production growth in August and undershot market expectations of a 3.7 percent jump in September.
