KARACHII: The Met Office on Friday forecast dry weather in most parts of the country, especially along Sindh, Makran Coast during Eid days.

In the fresh weather advisory, the forecaster says dry weather with sunny condition is likely to prevail in the northern areas on Nov 7 and Nov 8.

Isolated rain/thunderstorm is expected to hit Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir with adjoining hilly areas. However, dry weather is likely to remain elsewhere in the country during the next 24 hours, the office says.

In the next 48 hours, the office says “dry weather would follow in most parts from Saturday for the next few days,” adding that western disturbance is persisting over northern area.

Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Peshawar, Hazara, Malakand divisions Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir received scattered rain/thunderstorm in the last 24 hours.

Gawadar, Patan and Parachinar received 25 mm of rain in the last 12 hours, Ormara and Jiwani 16 mm each, Dir 14 mm, Kalam 12mm, Malamjabba and Pasni 6 each, the Met Office says.

Rahim Yar Khan’s temperature touched 35 degree centigrade and Kalat and Zhob one degree centigrade, it says.

Karachi’s weather is expected to remain partly cloudy with maximum temperature to range between 33 degree centigrade and 35 degree centigrade in the next 24 hours, the office forecasts.
