FBR extends date of payment of tax along-with return to Nov, 21

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date of deposit of tax liability along-with the return of total income/statement of final taxation for the tax year 2011 till November 21.

FBR extended the date because that Eid-ul-Azha is approaching and many taxpayers are out of the country for performing Hajj, a statement issued by the FBR here.

FBR issued circular No 17 of 2011 in exercise of powers conferred under section 241-A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, regarding extension in the date of payment.

It has been represented by the All Pakistan Tax Bar Association and other trade bodies of the country that as the date of filing of Return of Total Income/Statement of Final Taxation for the tax year 2011 has been extended.
