Provincial Academic Committee of Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) approved 53 different Curricula in Technical & Vocational Education Training (TVET) in its third meeting held at Tevta Secretariat.
Addressing the participants, Secretary Tevta Muhammad Arshad Bhatti emphasised on the quality of Technical Training. He appreciated the efforts of the academics department of Tevta in streamlining and standardising the demand driven training courses being imparted in the Institutes throughout the province of Punjab.
He welcomed the participants and stressed the highly qualified members to give their inputs with an objective of making the Technical & Vocational Education & Training system more strong and effective. He further said that these efforts would ultimately strengthen the economy of the province by generating jobs for trained manpower in the industry.
In the technical session, General Manager (Academics) Engr. Zahir J. Paracha briefed the participants about the academic model including Curriculum Training, Apprenticeship and Academic Audits. He also briefed the house about Tevta Standard Curriculum Development System (TSCDS) including analysis, design & development, implementation and evaluation.
The Committee reviewed 5 technologies of 2 years Higher National Diploma (HND), 13 two years Vocational G-II (skilled) courses and 23 one-year vocational G-III (semi-skilled) courses and unanimously approved all the 52 courses. The participants appreciated the efforts made by Tevta to promote technical education and vocational training in the province.

CDR Khalid Amin, Group Captain Ashraf Moghal, Chairman (Technology Education) I.E.R. Dr Hamid Nawaz, Chairman (Structure & Environmental Engg) University of Agriculture Faisalabad Professor Faizan-ul-Haq, ADPI (colleges) Dr Irshad Ahmed Farrukh, Manager Curriculum Engr. Nouman Ali Khan and other experts in technical education were present in the meeting.
