The US government will provide 390,000 dollars for emergency relief supplies for the rain-affected people in Sindh and Balochistan. According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, this emergency relief will help 11,000 households, or approximately 90,000 people, in the districts of Jafferabad, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi and Bolan.
This US emergency relief is being provided by US Agency for International Development's (USAID) Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) and US Ambassador's Emergency Fund. It will be delivered in Pakistan through a non-governmental organisation, Mercy Corps. The effects of Cyclone Yemyin have had a devastating impact in Sindh and Balochistan.
