Director General NAB Sindh, Major General Mukhtar Ahmed has asked the Land Utilisation and Revenue department officials to ensure complete scrutiny of frauds and cheat in the allotments of land so that no possibility of defrauding the people in sale and purchase of land or property remains.
During a briefing at NAB office here on Monday, Major General Mukhtar called for computerisation of record of revenue and lands so that wrongful and fake allotments could be detected forthwith and the elements involved in this heinous business are exposed.
He specially stressed for up-gradation of record of government lands and said all such land, got allotted through fake means and cheat be taken back and particularly stern steps be taken against qabza mafia and land grabbers with initiation of speedy legal action against them.
DG NAB directed that patrons of illegal occupants of land, particularly government employees should be exposed and details of such elements be sent to NAB. He sought within 15 days complete detail of false and fake allotments, disposal of valuable land at throw away prices, double and illegal allotments as well as involvement of staff of Land Utilisation.
Major General Mukhtar said lot of problems of people could be overcome if the departments and organisations perform their responsibilities with diligence. Present in the meeting were Chairman LU Committee, Justice Wahid Bux brohi (Retd), Secretary LU, Shoaib Siddiqi, Station Commander Brigadier Gondal, Colonel Waris and officials of Board of Revenue.
