The Standing Committee of National Assembly on Information Technology and Telecommunication on Tuesday expressed its dissatisfaction over the poor performance of PTCL after its privatisation.
The Committee, which met under the Chairmanship of Muhammad Tahir Shah, MNA in the Parliament House recommended that the Ministry should ensure improvement in its performance as most of its connections remained out of order and performance was also decreasing day by day. The meeting also discussed the performance of Pakistan Soft Export Board (PSEB) and highly appreciated the achievement made by PSEB during the recent years.
It, however, recommended that PSEB may launch a strong media campaign about its internships and training programmes introduced for students from time to time so that students from all over the country could apply and get benefit from it.

He also informed that PTCL was planning to offer various incentives and facilities to increase its subscribers by providing better facilities. Later, PSEB Managing Director, Yousuf Hussain, briefly apprised the Committee about the objectives and scope of PSEB activities.
