PWD guard dies from poisoned food

A guard of Pakistan Works Department (PWD) store died while three others fell unconscious after eating poisoned food here late night. Police sources said that the guard and other staff posted at the PWD store at Makkoanna on Jarawanwala Road were allegedly served poisoned food by some unidentified persons, apparently in an attempt to steal items from the store.
The guard died of poisoning while the other three staffers were rushed to the DHQ hospital in precarious condition, where they have still not regained consciousness.
