Lyari police recovered one abductee Hameed and arrested seven persons in Gul Mohammad Lane, Kalakot, here on Saturday. The accused reportedly belong to Arshad Pappu and Majeed Speed groups.
According to the details, police was informed that one Hameed (26), son of Nabi Bux, who was abducted some three weeks ago, was being kept in the jurisdiction of Chakiwara police station.
Responding to the information, police conducted raids on the hideout and rescued the abductee. Police also recovered seven snatched motor bikes and three pistols. In another operation in Lyari, police arrested UC-10 councillor Saeed Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghani, allegedly an accomplice of Rehman Dacoit. Police recovered one rocket launcher, six rockets, two live bombshells and two hollow bombshells from his possession.
