Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) announced the draws of sixth edition of National U-15 Championship 2007 which commenced at the grassy Shabbir Stadium inside Khanewal District Sports Complex on Wednesday night. As many as 13 teams are taking part in the 11-day event.
According to draws, three matches will be played on 29th June 2007 (Friday). Afghan FC will face NWFP Green, Punjab Red will clash against Islamabad and Wohaib FC will face Sindh Green.

Moreover, District Khanewal's Nazim Sardar Ahmad Yar Hiraj inaugurated the sixth edition of National U-15 Football Championship 2007 at a colorful ceremony under floodlights at grassy Shabbir Stadium inside Khanewal District Sports Complex on Wednesday night.
"The event will promote soccer in South Punjab and new talent will erupt from surrounding areas of Khanewal. We will arrange the event in historical manner and make it a unforgettable in Khanewal's sporting history," said chief guest who thanked PFF's President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat for picking a small but soccer-mad city like Khanewal for the precious calendar event.
On the opening day, Punjab Green, the second string of Punjab, put up satisfactory display and inflicted 2-0 win over NWFP Red in Group-A scoring once in each half. Striker Shahid Zameer put holders up in the 43rd minute while midfielder Usman Manzoor consolidated the lead in the 55th minute.
Match Commissioner and Chief Selector Akhtar Mohiuddin said that there will be no compromise on discipline and the players born on or after 1 January 1992 will be eligible to play.
