A six-member family was slaughtered on Sunday/Monday night at Mehboobabad in Dera Ghazi Khan city. Neighbours informed the police that there was no response from Rahim Bakhsh's home and blood is flowing out.
Police found six bodies of Rahim Bakhsh (35), his wife Nadia (30) daughter Fazeela (7) Nauman (4) Dilshad (3) and an infant Tahir (one and half years) in the room. They were slaughtered with sharp weapon after giving them intoxicants because there was no resistance. DG Khan DPO Inkisar Khan said, "We are investigating the case and I think it is a case of family feud or enmity. We would arrest the culprits very soon."
A neighbour told with the condition of anonymity that some relatives who came from Layyah were staying with them. They secretly sneaked away from the home. A state of fear prevailed in the area.
The police, during the search, found bloodstained clothes from the street and contacted slain Rahim Bakhsh's relative who said that he had made a love marriage with Nadia in 1999 leaving his first wife and her four children stranded. He was living with his second wife.
