Parliamentarians, judicial branch law drafters, parliamentary staff, and other individuals with interest in effective legislative drafting techniques and methods will attend one-day legislative drafting seminar on Tuesday evening.
Senator Chaudhry Anwar Bhinder will conduct the seminar, being organised by the Strengthening Democracy through Parliamentary Development (SDPD), in association with the USAID, and the UNDP.
Bhinder is former Speaker of West Pakistan Assembly. At present, he is member of three Senate standing committees: Cabinet, Finance, Law and Justice as well as the Government Assurances. The legislative drafting seminar will focus on the drafting of bills as well as specific legislative proposals that should be translated in proper legislative language and structure.
