KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Wednesday having 48350.26 points with a negative change of 173.15 and volume of 93,649,430 shares.
High and Low were 48909.10 and 48336.78 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 272,272,690 shares with 376 total traded companies out of which 159 were up 195 were down and 22 were unchanged.
COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 37,222,100 shares. It was followed by TEXTILE COMPOSITE with a total traded volume of 31,927,900 shares.
The three top traded companies were Power Cement Ltd. with a volume of 16,509,500 and price per share of 20.21 Â (0.58), Pak Refinery with a volume 12,125,000 of price per share of 81.23 (3.86), Shabbir Tiles with a volume 10,438,500 of price per share of 16.13 (1.00).
The top three advancers were Philip Morris Pak.with price per share 2597.49 (123.69), Nestle Pakistan with price per share of 9100.00 (Â 90.00) and Mari Petroleum share of 1379.12 (65.67).
The top three decliners were Rafhan MaizeXD with price per share of 7400.00 (250.00), Wyeth Pak LtdXD with price per share of 2678.18 (124.81) and Indus Dyeing share of 730.00 (30.00).
