First consignment of mangoes has been sent to Kuwait from Rahim Yar Khan and arrangements are also being made to directly export mango to other countries including Britain, Canada and Abu Dhabi and etc.
Assistant Director Fruit and Vegetable Project (FVDP), Rahim Yar Khan, Imtiaz Ahmad talking to APP here on Thursday told that the Agricultural Development Contracting Company has followed all the rules and standards of International Post Harvest, from picking to packing of mangoes for export.
Deputy Director FVDP, Muhammad Akbar and Assistant Director FVDP, Javed Iqbal supervised the whole process. Thirteen tons mango has been sent to Karachi from Sadiqabad through reefer container, from where the shipment left for Kuwait.
He further informed that Arrescon Company would export shipment of mangoes to Brunei Darussalam from Rahim Yar Khan soon. He hoped that the start of export process will usher an era of growth and prosperity in Rahim Yar Khan.
