Expressing satisfaction over the completion of five years tenure of present assemblies in Pakistan, Abdelkader Bansala President Council of the National Senate of Algeria, said that it is a solid proof of stability of democracy in Pakistan.
He stated this while talking to Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Muhammad Afzal Sahi during his visit to his chambers alongwith six members of his delegation, here on Tuesday.
Abdelkader Bansala said that the main aim of his visit to Pakistan is to further strengthen the brotherly relations between the two countries. Talking to the delegation, Speaker Afzal Sahi said that Pakistan and Algeria are committed to regional and international peace and it is a matter of great satisfaction that the two countries have been moving closer and the high level visits have immensely contributed in enhancing the cooperation in different fields.
Afzal Sahi expressed the hope that the visit of the delegation would help improve relations between the two countries in the fields of trade, commerce, besides strengthening parliamentary cooperation. He also briefed the delegation about the working of standing committees of the Punjab Assembly.
